~ Update From DeeDeeDooDooDiDi ~

I woke up from my nap yesterday, called Steve, found some cahones and went over to the Shubert Theatre at 7:30P and got a ticket to SPAM ALOT (reg. 116 - I got it for 80). This was on a tip from Rob (whom I met at the Blarney Stone across the street from my place) that nobody would be coming into the city because of the weather. Well, it didn't seem to stop very many folks because the theater appeared to be "packed", but nonetheless - my dream came true and for that I am eternally thankful. But wait, it gets better...I awoke this morning at 8A. GREAT night's sleep (god, I LOVE motel/hotel beds). By 9A I was in a cab headed for the Bronx.I got out of the cab at Belmont and 187th St (70 bucks round trip), took one picture of the sign and my camera took a shit!!!!! I fiddled with the batteries for about 5 minutes before saying fuck it, and went into the Deli on the corner and bought NEW batteries. Bad batteries, sit! Took some more pics of the intersection. So the next thing I see is a bunch of big black cars pulling up to the church (Mt. Carmel I think it is. 100 yrs old). Wedding or Funeral I ask some guy. He says, funeral. Looked like a mafia one too, complete with body guards standing outside the church with their hands folded in front of them.Drove down Arthur Ave (the Bronx's Little Italy), over to Webster Ave (yes, it's black alright), and then "Home, James".I just got back from getting my ticket to the show today.I stopped into The Blarney Stone for a chilly one while waiting for Noon. Rob was there. He has a matinee today too. I told him I wanted a slice of pepperoni pizza. He told me the place to go is just down the street at 8th and 44th so I am going to meet him back here after our shows and we are going to sup - dutch treat! That's all for now...the clock is ticking. P.S. Steve, the paper donkey successfully completed his mission this morning.P.S.S. Sue, probably won't get over to the pond. (there's just not enough time in the day) If you ever want to come back here in the winter, we can go skating there together. I LOVE youse guys. thank you for sharing in this DREAM of mine!
