...when I was born, fifty-four years ago today in San Francisco. "Frankie," I hear the Astoot Bloglodite say, "Is it your birthday today...or what?" Why, sho' 'nuff it is, gang! I slid down the birth canal of one swell 23 year old broad fifty-four years ago today, greeting the planet earth in Mary's Help Hospital somewhere in the City By The Bay, and I haven't looked back since. (actually I have, in the form of pondering, but that's another story). What I mean to say is that I've just been livin', man, just livin' my life, day by day, truckin' on down the road, takin' it as it comes, havin' one hell of a good time. I've met me some keen friends along the way, in fact lots of 'em, and today I am thankful for having known all of you. Basically, it doesn't suck to be me. ...This evening I will be going to Curtis park in Sacramento to see a live performance by Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers, featuring Kyle, the fourteen-year-old harp player you may remember from a past post, and I will be having a picnic dinner with my "friend" (wink wink) Boopsie and my lovely daughter Autumn. And of course, The Idiot, Schneider. Like I said, it doesn't suck to be me.Tuesday
