...this past weekend I was sent this video, this grainy cell phone video, by my son John.
You see, he had told me last week that he had a vision of making a rotating compost barrel out of a couple of old bicycles that were laying around the house. Something about turning the bikes on end and burying them half way in the ground and then attatching the barrel between them, using the pedals to crank the thing.
Although the idea had merit I must admit it sounded a bit far-fetched, as it evidently did to others who were told of the plan.
Here we see the inventor, still sporting his pregnancy sympathy weight, with his new "green" contraption.
Congratulations, Moe!

Why do you need to rotate the compost? Good job Moe.
Lu: churning makes for thorough mixture. If the compost is in a pile on the ground you have to stir it and turn it with implements.
brilliant!
I know where he gets it from.
Way t'go Moe.
Now if we could just get a patent, secure the backing, hire the production and marketing team...
...and kick back on a ship's deck somewhere with an unbrella drink...
Allow me to get ahead of yourself.
LOL Butt seriously, GREAT JOB!!!
Dice, damn I am for that... I have a buck or two to throw in the mix.
Clever fellow you raised there Sir
