...poked?
With an acupuncture needle?
Well, by God, I have.
...Happened yesterevening, in the historic Chinese town of Locke.
As it should.
Here's how the deal went down:
I went to a dinner party hosted by Martha on her patio in Locke and at the party were a number of people, one of whom was a lady named Diane who, when it became time for her to go home, found that she could not find her keys. You know the drill. Everybody looking for keys. At dusk. She finally comes to the conclusion that she must have locked them in her house, which is also her shop/office on the main street of Locke two doors down from Al the Wop's. She wonders aloud if anyone knows how to jimmy a lock with a credit card. I volunteer to try and so we walk down the street to break into her shop. No can do with a credit card, or a pen knife. Finally I am able to pry up one of the old double-hung windows and she climbs in and opens the door and then locates the keys.
It was then that I found out that she is a an acupunturist and I was quite interested and yadda yadda so I finally asked if I could be poked and sure as shit...I got poked!
It was cool!
I learned me a mess about Eastern medicine and I even got a swell needle of my own to take home. Did you know that ALL needles used in Western medicine are hollow? That is because the needles are either taking something out or putting something in. And that is why getting a shot often hurts: the needle is actually taking a small core of flesh out with it. acupuncture needles, on the other hand, are like wire; solid.
Hey, I got poked so I know what I'm talkin' about.

Done it...several times. It works pretty darn good for what ails ya. There's a wack-O-pathic ND (aka No Doctor) here in The Apple Capitol, sez he can help with addiction. Wonder if ciggies falls into that?

LOL I got poked for the first time Tuesday night! Part of the exploration for a cure........But I did feel better on Wed. Will probably continue to do it until it doesn't work!
A good poke always makes ME feel better!
