~ If Not A Bucket...~

Recently I have been inspired to dust off my lathe and commence to begin to start turning some exotic woods again...I like making little boxes for rings or sea salt or...

Here we see some Brazilian Cherry, Bird's Eye Maple Burl, Redwood Burl, Walnut and Fire Maple, among others...

(Mic, I'll need you to come out and sharpen my chisels, please)

Killer!

I am a "container" freak.
I love little boxes.
If I gave into my desire to collect those little porcelin boxes that come in so many varieties, I'd go crazy. I have two: one with a clown on top (in fact didn't you buy it for me in Philly? if memory serves...) and (a no brainer) one that is two stacked DICE.

...and don'chaknow I think of you daily because I have one of your hand-made treasures in which my cooking salt resides♥
One of the things I got to keep in my divorce ;)

I too am the proud recipient of Senior Phfrancois' handy turning of Wally's Nut (as he put it). A treasured piece.

I saw someone on the Home and Garden channel who had one of those sinks where the sink bowl is completely exposed and sits on top of the counter...but instead of it being porcelain or whatever, it was wood! I thought it was cool, but they thought it looked like a salad bowl (which it kinda did...) Ever thought of making wooden dishes?

I too am dabbling in exotic woods. I picked up some bar scraps at Micky's.
