If I Had a Hotdog
(sung to the tune of "If I Had a Hammer", the Trini Lopez version, please)
a-one
and a-two
and a--
Ooo Ooo Oo Oo
If I had a hotdog
Ooo Ooo Oo Oo
If I had a hotdog
I'd eat it in the morning
I'd eat it in the evening
All over this land.
I'd eat it with mustard
I'd eat it with onions
I'd eat it with a bun
so fresh,
My brothers and my sisters
All over this land.
If I had a bun
If I had a bun
I'd steam it in the morning
I'd steam it in the evening
All over this land.
I'd steam it so gently
I'd steam it so wrinkled
I'd steam it so the dog
would stick
Right out of either end
All over this land.
If I had a push-cart
I'd push it in the morning
I'd push it in the evening.
All over this land.
I'd stand on the corner
I'd holler out, "Hotdogs!"
I'd put 'em on a bun
so steamed,
My brothers and my sisters
All over this land.
Now I've got a hotdog
And I've got a bun.
And I've got a cart to push
All over this land.
It's the hot dog of freedom!
It's the bun of justice!
It's the push-cart of love
Between my brothers and my sisters
All over this land.

The right dog n cart and the right location can be quite lucrative. So says the dog n cart guy that used to be outside the local PENNDOT. He is retired now.
i like mine with sauerkraut, also, and white onions...don't forget...because you know what a bummer it is when the other guys don't have it:]
♫ If you had a moose,
you'd raise him on hot dogs
you'd feed him those steamed dogs
instead of moose chow... ♫
Can I get some onions in red sauce, a tad spicy please
...and pineapple
This is beautiful.
