It's funny to me that so many white folk around here have carry permits and seem to boast of it. The gun stores advertise, Special This Month $60 Carry Permit Course. I think half the folks on our dock carry guns.
I don't get it! This is not the wild west of yesteryear.
I have a carry permit but I do not carry. I used to carry daily but as I drove to work through a questionable part of town I would think of scenerios where I might need to use the gun and wondered whether or not I would use it; I feel I would. I also have a temper and might have reacted first before thinking it through so I don't carry. You actually do need a carry permit even if you are just transporting your weapons to the firing range.
I knew I would use the gun because if you attempt to f**k with me I'm going to jack you up if I can. I've changed now, I hope, and no longer wish to kill the f**ker upper but mame maybe...
Good Lord no. I am confident. I am in control. I have options. No one ever, ever, announces that they are going to rob or shoot you except on tv. I keep a gun in my pocket all the time.
I see that as a lack of confidence. I guess your confident you can defend yourself and be in control but the fact that you always carry a gun has to mean you feel threatened. Just saying.

Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do that thing.
