~ Dad Food ~

My dad was no Emeril Lagase.

He was a Washington State meat and potaoes man.

Here is one of his favorite dishes, which he would serve to my sisters and I on occasion when he was in charge of the cooking:

We start with a half-pound of ground round and one half of one medium sized onion, coarsely chopped, and mixed together like a meat loaf...

After pan frying thoroughly on one side, flip and add a can of creamed corn...

Cook...

Transfer to plate and season liberally with black pepper...

My dad used ketchup, but I prefer the tomato-based Sriracha, a sweet chili sauce...

Enjoy hot and steaming...with a slice of bread...perhaps butter...

I just had creamed corn that sucked so baaad, I am going to toss the other can I bought!

Maybe I should've gotten Del Monte instead of the house brand, eh?
; )
On some things you just can't compromise taste for the unknown.

That does look great, but I would DEFINITELY add SPINACH !!!

I have never eaten that in my life. Not that I recall even slightly.
