Let Me Say This About That:

Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks!

The last time that fine city had any kind of championship was in '79-'80, the year I got there, and it was a basketball championship...this win was long time coming.

People have wondered whether I was rooting for the 'Hawks. Silly question. I rooted for them for 27 seasons while I lived in Washington, and my loyalties do not give way that easily. Besides, I have a white-hot hatred for Denver.

However...what I like most in a football game is...a GAME. This Super Bowl was no game. I don't care if it was the 49ers playing Denver (remember when Joe and the boys beat Denver 55-10 in the Super Bowl?), I simply derive no pleasure in a rout. Last night I was actually hoping Denver would orchestrate a 4th quarter comeback for the ages...SO THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A GAME.

The point of this diatribe?

There is none. Except.....gimme a game.

I liked the rout, the pummeling, the knock-em, sock-em, cock-em. Why? Cause most said we couldn't and we wouldn't. Well, we did.
And we did it to a very good team. So shut up nea-sayers, were here and were here to stay. How's that for game.

Do you get big nasty slugs out there?

HUGE!!!! When I first saw one, after moving from Eastern Washington (dry desert country), I screamed like a lil girl. Had never seen a banana slug before and thought a freshly laid dog turd was crawling around. Temera came running and started laughing at me when I sniveled out my concern and fear. She then showed me that God had supplied us with an element to combat these vermin, salt. I now carry a vial of Morton wherever I go.
