On the first of July
I am caused to begin
To start to endeavor
To journey within.
O! The thoughts I will think!
As I ponder this life
On my ranch in the valley
With my dog and my wife.
Thoughts about hotdogs
And pizza and beer.
Thoughts about poker
And things I hold dear.
