When I get hungry working at Rancho Bondo sometimes I go in and fix me a sammich for lunch.
Like this timeless classic with a custom twist: The bread is San Francisco sourdough, toasted dry on the griddle, with sliced turkey and swiss cheese.
The twist is the large slab of roasted sweet red bell pepper that is also on there...
After the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted, I like to add some crisp, cold romaine lettuce and some pepper. Otherwise she is dry: no mustard, no mayo, no nothin'.
Then I cuts my sammich, on the bias...

Listen. You have to put Mayo on it. You're missing out if you don't. Just sayin'.
Mayo with turkey is a plus. Not a lot of mayo is required but a tad bit more than a skif should suffice.
oh, Mommy...
nice sammich indeed and the roasted red pepper is the crowning achievement
