Yes, that is a framing square spanning the opening to allow for completion of the dome.



Yes, that is an adjustable door to facilitate air intake.



No, I don't know how hot is got in there onnacounta I do not have a thermometer that reads high enough.

And no, I did not cook a pie on this, its maiden voyage.

Pizza pie is a-comin', though.

I was wondering if your brick oven could have been made so that the updigo thing you build could have fit in it? You sould put the pie on it and lower it into the oven?
